Sweet Potatoes

Finally my garden yields some interesting food.

When I dug this up, I couldn’t believe how the potatoes had curled around each other. When I tried to separate them, I found that this is not a cluster but a single potato. It weighs nearly 3 lbs. Toby and I are going to have to be very hungry when we cook this monster (presuming we can find a pot big enough, that is.)

At least these potatoes had the courage to be individuals.

This one hopes to be curly fries.

It seemed that every potato wanted to get in on the 80s “permed” look.

Despite Toby’s enthusiasm for digging, I didn’t trust him to help with the potatoes.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m a big help.

It feels wrong to write silly posts about sweet potatoes when our friends in the Middle East are suffering so horribly. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Someday soon I hope we can laugh and talk about things of no consequence again.

HA! Your sweet taters are unique, artistic, one-of-a-kind, fun! And I know they will be yummy! I like them baked in the oven then topped with walnuts or pecans + cinnamon and nutmeg!

HA!!! on Toby being the tater-helper! He looks like he’s got his tater-helper face on! 😉 😀
I have a friend who’s pup has been sneaking eggplant outa’ their garden to eat it. They finally caught him in action. HA! 😛

Yes, so horrifying…all that our friends in the Middle East are going through. My heart and my thoughts are with them. And with their families. 😦
I’ve dealt with the how can we laugh these days, these times…But we desperately need some laughter. So, thank you for helping me laugh today. I appreciate you and Toby! ❤️❤️

cook it , eat what you can and make sweet potato bread with the rest. as for what is going on in the world, mymother was making radios for the french and dutch resistance during the war, working in a glaass roofed building while london was under constant bombardment. she said they all managed by making silly jokes.
