I’m still cranky and bitey when I have to take pain meds, and I don’t have a frankenpuppy scar on my back. Maybe he needs a soft pillow and an iPad and some alone time. Works for me.

Ugh, I wish I could say things were better. Toby’s incision is healing nicely, but he is so angry! The slightest disappointment or inconvenience has him exploding with anger. I keep telling myself it’s the pain, but I’m afraid I just have a crazy dog.
I’m looking for a behaviorist, but I’m araid no one will agree to help me until he is healed, and we can tell if the surgery helped or not. Aaagh!
Poor Toby! That has to be so painful, so irritating and makes a fellow just feel awful. 😦
I hope with each day things get better and betterer!

oh dear Toby, that looks incredibly painful! I was be bitey too! How is he doing taking the meds? If it’s liquid, you can use one of those syringe type things that they make for kids. Meanwhile, know you’re in our prayers, both of you.
Today he seems a bit better than yesterday. He is on medication, but I imagine he still hurts. How could he not with an incision that big? Thanks for all the prayers! ❤️
Awwww poor sweet baby, he’s been through so much. Just do whatever he wants and tell him that you love him. As the saying goes, “be the person your dog thinks you are.” I know Toby thinks you’re the best mom ever!
I found a thread on a Reddit of behaviorist/trainers in your vicinity. It’s 3 year old information, but there still might be something there worthwhile if you do some research/make a few calls.
