The other day, Toby was making quite a fuss at his toy box. I told him to take out whatever he wanted, but he insisted that I get it. Several times I asked him what he was looking for, and he kept saying “RAHru”. OK, let’s figure out what RAHru is. One by one I picked up the toys to offer him. He was completely disinterested until I picked up this tiger. Then his eyes got big and his tail started wagging. Evidently this toy is RAHru.
It seems that Toby wanted RAHru in order to have someone to frame for stealing socks.
Blue Puppy has company as Toby’s naughty sidekick.
You don’t expect me to take responsibility for my own behavior, do you?
If you haven’t read Dream Our World yet then this is a perfect time to pick up a copy! Inside, my two naughty Cairn terriers visit the museum of their dreams and view the world of art from a canine perspective.
Dream Our World is available from my shop.
US HOOMANS NEED TO DO BETTER AS DR DOOLITTLE !!!!!
THEIR TOYS ARE THEIR SPECIAL FRIENDS I KNOW.
Toby has a complex relationship with his toys. He is fascinating to watch! 💕😆
Sometimes only a RAHru will do. As another famous tiger named Tony was known to say, “It’s grrrrrrrreat!”
HA! I don’t! 😀 And I wish everyone in my life would get that message as relates to me and my behavior! 😉 😛
That Toby is a smart-pup! Always trying to stay at least four paws in front of his Mom! 😉 😀
RAHru is a cutie and sounds like a grrreat friend!
Thank you for the smiles and giggles on a Moan-Day! 😀
(((HUGS))) and PATS and RUBS!!! 🙂
(Toby asks: Does that make tomorrow “Toots-day”?)
It does!!! 😛
Hey, Toby….Toot away! 😉 😀
Everyone knows Rahru means tiger in dog
I know! Right? – Toby
Max had ZEEBAH! He never actually called it that, but he sure did respond to “go get ZEEBAH!” I knew that Rahru meant tiger, by the way. 🙂
I liked Pearls Before Swine where the crocodiles had “Zeebah Nebah” whom they always wanted to eat. 😆
I believe that’s where the name came from. Zeebah is almost as big as Max was and still resides beside my bed. He’s one of two toys I’ll never let go
I have some Geordie’s toys that will likely go with me across the country when I’m homeless. Some things you just don’t want to let go of.
He had a huge panda – that and Zeebah will never leave me.
Going acrosss the country when you’re homelsss??
Are you moving to a L.A. encampment? Moving in with Harry and Meghan? Going for a “Nomadland” life? In any case, Toby would HATE it! At least get him into a good terrier home. I’d take him. I have a terrier, but she’d adjust to a friend. I know if I were ever homeless there’d be a list of people in the national AKC breed club who would take my pup and treat her well. Gotta say though that it sucks being human. We do well in life for our pups. Keep on keeping on for your very clever boy. He deserves it!
Oh, Toby will definitely live in a house. It is I who have failed, not him.
I mean “he”.
Whew! I have a big house and was designing a section for Toby giving the specs the working name of “Toby-ville”.
As dog parents our job is to keep a roof over all our collective noggins (human and canine) and, of course, treat them like royalty. Dogs really don’t care were they live as long as they are with their humans. I swear though that they prefer comfort over roughing (ruff-ing?) it. 😉
PS: How did you know that I can be a stickler for grammar?
Toby says he likes the sound of “Toby-ville”. If anything ever happens, I am going to try to keep him local. He has a lot of friends in the area.
ughh… “where” not “were”.
Auto-correct doesn’t make things any easier.
Awww, I’m glad to hear he’d stay nearby his current home. Toby-ville would be fantastic. Design a section for yourself, too! It would be pure springtime fun. 🙂
And I’m sure you haven’t failed. Remember what George Bailey read in his note from the Clarence the Angel in the final scene of “It’s a Wonderful Life”: “No man is a failure who has friends”. Of course, George read the note over a laundry basket
overflowing with cash…, but we won’t think about that sniggily little detail. The sentiment of good things happen to good people is absolutely lovely, and I think there can be some truth to it.
Such a lovely thought! Then I am truly rich. 😊
Now, if only I could convince creditors to accept friendship as payment….
