Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions about my prescription!
I did some calling around and found that the pharmacy I had randomly chosen was charging 7x what a neighboring pharmacy was and that is why my claim kept being denied. I called my doctor and asked if she would call the prescription in to the other pharmacy, and she said yes. Within half an hour I got a call back saying that my medication was waiting at the new place and would only cost me $3.00 for a two month supply. Suddenly treatment is no longer “medically unnecessary”. Yay.

The elusive box of medicine.
Maybe now I will be able to get back to a normal life where I don’t have to be afraid of lights or air conditioning. 👍
Thank you again, everyone!

Now that that’s settled, can we go back to talking about me?
Congratulations. I hope it helps.
Thanks! Me too.
Hello, I typed a message earlier, but auto-correct changed my name to Anonymous instead of my chosen pseudonym which is Anony-mouse, so my comment was moderated and deleted!
I’ll have to get back to you later. Today is really busy.
I am glad you’re on a mending path though!
Oh, sorry about the auto-correct incident! Hope your day is going well otherwise. 😊
Your “Anonymous” reply seems to be showing up in my queue. I guess it wasn’t deleted after all. 👍
WOW. That’s a huge difference! I’m glad you shopped around. Don’t even get me started on drug prices. 🤐
I had no idea there could be a difference like this. Lesson learned.
I AM IN TEARS OF JOY SWEET LADY !!!!!

OH MY GOSH! YAY! I have joy-tears in my eyes! I am so happy this worked out and so quickly! I was hoping and hoping it would! I’m hoping and hoping it does what you need it to do!
And now…back to our regularly scheduled programming…TOBY!!! 😀 😛
(((HUGS))) 🙂 ❤️
Yes, Toby is thrilled that all attention will be back on him. ..as it should rightly be. 🐶
Hopefully I’ll be able to cry tears of joy someday too! 😂
Yay! So happy for you! Medical bureaucracy takes some persistence, but it can be worth it, This is why even small medical offices usually have a full time employee working in authorizations. Insurance companies put up a lot of barriers that make it hard for doctors to do their jobs and for patients to get their medical testing and meds. I believe that’s why it’s long been said that there are three people/entities in the exam room: the patient, the doctor and the insurance company.
About the vitamin D. I can’t say I’ve seen a measurable improvement, however nothing is worse. My levels as of last blood draw are just marginally into the normal range, I know someone with their numbers in the 50s and they aren’t exactly a chipper person. I’m pretty sure moods, personalities, etc. have a base level that is set and there isn’t necessarily a wide variance from that, and even the sunshine vitamin won’t help. So upbeat, happy, funny people tend to mostly be that way. While serious, solemn, and even glum people tend to be that way. I don’t think a vitamin can change that. However, that’s just my opinion.
Vitamin D is a large factor in bone health and cardiovascular function, so even if one doesn’t change moods and career paths to become a cheerleader for a clown circus your health still is improving in quiet ways.
As for me physically feeling better. I would say yes, but I’ve had other medical issues that were dealt with and there’s a good chance having those taken care of is what has allowed for the improvement.
I hope you dry eye gets better! I must have missed the post about your eyes being light sensitive. But I did read about you sleeping with your eyes open. I hope that improves, too. I’d be curious about your vitamin D levels. You look so pale and bruised. Toby should be comforting you! Tell him to get to it!
I will happily bully my puppy into being nicer to me! 😆
I am so glad you were able to get your medicine. I hope it will help. I hope Toby has calmed down and is not being a bity dog.
(I think the hot weather contributes to his bitiness.) So far this week, he has been a pretty happy little guy!
Wonderful news about the med!!!
Can’t wait to start seeing results!
