Murphy isn’t typically very interested in the garden, but as soon as those bees moved in, he kept wanting to go inside. I was happy when the bees were taken care of so I didn’t have to worry about my little guy getting hurt (and I could get to my sadly overgrown squash).
Normally I don’t like to hurt bees, but those guys were a**holes.

Can I go in the garden now? I hear there are squishy tomatoes inside!

Find out what Murphy’s Cairn brothers are up to when no one is looking as you travel with them to the Museum of the Imagination in Dream Our World .
Inside the museum, Geordie and Toby view the world of art from a canine perspective while enjoying a day of unsupervised fun. There are many hidden gems inside Dream Our World, and it is a joy for all ages. Treat yourself to a read that is both fun and educational!
Dream Our World, and other fine gifts, are available from my shop at L Bowman Studios.

I admire your garden dedication. I quit pretending I enjoyed having a garden and let it all go. A few of the perennials surprised me in spring and popped out a few buds, but with the heat and no rain, they did not last long. As soon as it gets cooler, I will move the rocks out of the way and let Randy mow over it!
Oops…you stumbled over my next post. 🤭.
I would be happy to hear more about how you “retired”. I’m finding myself surprisingly emotional about letting go.
At least little Murphy is safe now. He’s too small to handle that much venom. ❤️
We used to have a lot of shade in the yard due to the trees. We lost so many limbs and trees in the winter ice storm (not just us, the entire county and the city of Oxford) that it is just in direct overhead sunlight now. Plus, I never liked weeding. I grew some veggies in pots one spring/summer, and that was fun as I only had to water them. 😁. With the horrendous heat dome that has been hanging on for 2 months, it is just way to miserable and now all my potted plants have died. I thought that was a good sign that I could stop. But glad Murphy is safe.
I GUESS IN A TWISTED LOGIC WAY THE BEES WERE PROTECTING THE GARDEN THEY JUST NEEDED PICS OF GOOD GUYS NOT TO HURT
