A Friend In Need

Many of us have a friend who is going through a difficult time. Knowing how much she hates de-cluttering posts, I thought I would do another. Mwahaha! (Just a little nonsense for distraction!)

The Sneak Attack

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick to death of mom sneaking up on me while I'm sleeping and cutting my fur. She waits till you're asleep? I kind of like my fur, but I get your point.

I say we wait till she's sleeping and give her a taste of her own medicine. We'll give her a haircut she won't soon forget!

Oh guys, you'll never believe it. I must have been sleepwalking and cut my hair in my sleep. Come see. It's so cute!

How can she possibly like what we did? I tried to make her look like Peppermint Patty! An Oompa Loompa. A resident of Whoville.

Each time I got Lyme, my hair fell out. When it started to grow back this last time, I cut my nearly waist-length hair to a chin length bob to even things out. I did this right after Halloween, and nobody noticed. Just three days ago, someone I see practically every week said, “Oh, did you cut your hair?”

I’m starting to wonder if I have the power of invisibility.

You changed something? I didn’t notice.

The Plank In Your Own Eye

You seem to have a little something in your eye. I do?

Yes, somehow I managed to get a foreign body embedded in my eye and had to have minor eye surgery to remove it. Because of the risk of infection, I’m avoiding outdoor/garden work where I may stir up microbes or pollen or anything else. Now Murphy and I are stuck inside during this beautiful spring weather just sitting around and vegging.

You say this like it’s a bad thing.

Cattywampus (Or “When One Thing Each Day” Goes Wrong)

I started out making a baby quilt to donate, but it ended up being a full-sized quilt for my own bed…with matching shams.

I tried again with different fabric. I wanted to make something to give away, and….it turned into an apron that I kept.

After all that effort I didn’t end up getting rid on anything, but I lie to myself that my situation is better because my fabric is no longer in a jumble in a bag.

Why didn’t you make a blanket for my bed? I like blankets.
