Toby and I play a game where he gets a treat for touching the toy that I name. This day, we were playing “Blue Puppy/Red Monster”. He did well with Blue Puppy, but when I called out “Red Monster”, he bopped me on the head.

In real life, my hair has stared to grow back in, so the Mohawk look is more accurate than you might think.

Coop knows his “girlfriend”, “the fox”, “ball”, “bunny” and a few other toys by name. And I’ve never rewarded him with treats…hmm…probably would’ve learned his toy “names” faster if I had offered treats. Ha. I need to apologize to him. 😉 😛

Until I met Geordie, I didn’t know that dogs could talk. He gobbled up every word and concept I could show him. If you do decide to work with Cooper, try introducing him to numbers. It turns out dogs like math, too.

It tickles me to think that they listen so intently and might here something like this….”Whah whah whah supper whah whah whah go out…whah whah…play ball…” Etc. 😀 🙂
One time I made an analogy with Geordie. I told him that as the loofah dog was his toy, he was my toy. I had no idea he would understand what I said. He got really angry and started to throw one of his tantrums until I laughed and made like it was all a joke. After that I was always very careful about what I said in front of him. 😆

My boys are known for hugging me with their teeth. It’s an odd sensation…
I have a friend whose yellow lab will nibble your chin if he likes you. The first time I saw him after I lost my Max, he climbed up on my lap and nibbled my chin for a couple of minutes. (While I sobbed) It’s a strange thing, but I love it.
