Meet Mr. Pickles. This sad fellow ran away from an unhappy home and ended up inspiring an entire pig rescue project called Oasis Acres Potbelly Pig Foster Home. Sadly Mr. Pickles passed away last week from a bowel obstruction. People in his home town of Hannibal Missouri are still mourning his passing. During his short life, this humble pig has brought much awareness to the plight of domestic pigs and and all that is involved in caring for them and finding them loving homes.
Say “Hello” to Rose, another domestic piggie. Her happy smile inspired me.
Frankly, I do not see the resemblance.

Hmm, for some reason the old childhood saying “Takes one to know one” comes to mind. Oink, oink.
You could have added “male” and “chauvinist” and given away your age. 😛 nom, nom, nom
How about “assigned male at birth chauvinist”?
Mr. Pickles and Rose are both sweeties! Those faces! 🙂
I’m so sorry to hear of Mr. Pickles death. 😦
Pigs are so intelligent and cute! But, from my visit to a pig farm I learned they can be stinky in groups. HA! But then so can Human-Beans!
Your creativity, talent, and crafty work is all amazing and beautiful!
I will check out the raffle.
Toby…Don’t forget…you are cute, too! 🙂

There used to be a pig farm not too far from here. It was a very pungent neighbor!😝
awwww! I once met a baby pig and fell totally in love. He now lives with a family and is treated as a pet.
What a sweet story! It sounds like he found his happily ever after. 😊
The love between Suzie snd a Pig is the subject of a new Hallmark movie. “Forbidden Bacon” starts in September.
Despite being a lawyer, a statesmen, a philosopher, an essayist, an intellectual reformer, a historian and a champion of modern science, it couldn’t save Francis from ending up between lettuce and tomato on Max’s dad’s sandwich.
He was noble, smart, erudite and delicious.
Most philosophers are. 😝
It sounds like he lived a splendid life
Everyone tried their hardest to make sure he was happy. 😊 🐷
