I think of the movie Snowpiercer and wonder what horrified people more – the thought of the main character engaging in cannibalism by eating an infant or the image of passengers eating “protein bricks” straight from the bug hopper.
Both ideas were meant to horrify North Americans. Culturally we are taught not to eat either. How hard do you think the push back will be when those who think they are all-that-and-a-bag-of-chips try to force insects on us?
I don’t know what you are complaining about.
Squished spiders are delicious!
My understanding is that murder hornets don’t have any natural predators in this country. Perhaps we could serve them up to all those trying to force others to eat bugs. We’ll tell them it’s “bee”f.
This colorful Patchwork Butterfly Quilt, and many other fine items, are available from my shop at L Bowman Studios.
I WONT MENTION SOILENT GREEN THEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha ha ha! (But at least it didn’t have bugs.) 😂
Give them to Gates.
I’ve started reading labels a lot more these days.
The more you read, the more you end up in the pricey, alternative food aisles. They have the fewest ingredients and normally no preservatives.
My friend has an app that gives food scores by scanning the labels. I won’t use it because I’m a conspiracy nut and won’t give out information willingly. But it’s apparently crazy how bad a lot of stuff really is
I’ve been in the alternative community for a long time. Now I buy single ingredient items like rice or chicken or bananas. I buy nothing prepared: I save all that work for myself.🙄
HA! Toby’s got the right idea! Eats what you finds! 😉 😀 What a cute photo! 😛
Ha! on the BEE-f! That made me snort-laugh! 😀
I always wonder who was the first person who said, “I’ll eat this______.” Like…Tuna eyeball. Cow tongue. Fried Tarantula. Testicles. Brains. ETC. 😲👀
I wouldn’t have been the first! 😉 Musta’ been a hungry growing 19 year old frat-boy. HA! 😀 They’ll eat anything! 😉 😀
I hope we’re never hungry enough to eat like a frat boy. Or a puppy.
HA! For sure! I’m with you on that! 😀
Crickets is good eats if you can get them
I think so too, but you should see the color mommy turns when I mention it to her. – Toby
I watched Gates on an interview show on Netflix with David Letterman, called “my next guest needs no introduction” (before we dumped netflix and hulu). The topic came up of what Gates really enjoys eating, something that taste sooo good. The answer was a hamburger. Not a tofu burger. Not a bug burger. Not a veggie-bean-quinoa burger. Until people walk the walk, then ignore their talk. Toby is the real deal and you can tell him I said so. 🙂
I imagine GB is a “Do as I say” person, and I don’t want him to be able to use his money influence others’ choices.
Ugh, Toby is strutting around all puffed up because of your compliment. It’s going to be even harder to live with him now. 🙄
