I don’t really care what you wear as long as I don’t have to go along.
(So far Murphy hasn’t shown the enthusiasm for water that his brothers had.)

While this might seem like an odd topic, I was very nervous about going swimming again after having developed so many allergies/sensitivities. I was concerned that even with shower sandals, if I were walking across a floor where personal care items were draining, they might splash onto my skin and cause a reaction.
My solution is to wear aqua socks while in the shower room and in the pool, only changing out of them once I reach my locker. If you happen to be one of lucky few with MCAS, I wanted to let you know that this might be a choice to help keep safe in a locker room or pool. (Usually this condition doesn’t surface until your 20s, so hopefully high school swim class will already be behind you.) Aqua socks are made of neoprene, so water doesn’t go through them. As a plus, they give extra traction on slippery floors.
And even though I am the only nerd wearing them, I totally rock these aqua socks.

I THINK THEY ARE GREAT I ALWAYS HATED BEING BARE FOOTED IN THE SWIMMING POOLS OR THE BEACH !
Here is an option for in case you ever want to go wading! 😊❤️
I THINK THEY ARE FANTASTIC !!
Thank you! ❤️💕
I THINK THEY ARE FANTASTIC !!
Thank you! ❤️💕
A brilliant idea!
Why thank you! Hopefully the nerdiness will keep the 80-something-hip-joint-replacement-recoverers from paying too much attention to my awe-inspiring swimsuit clad self. 🤣
Personally, I wouldn’t go swimming in anything more revealing than a wetsuit! But I never did like the water. I think the aqua sox are a terrific idea!
I almost bought a long-sleeved suit…with a skirt…plus the cap, goggles and booties. I think we have similar waterwear standards. 😆
😂
Ha! and AH! Smart idea! Cool idea! Keep rockin’ ’em socks! 🙂

The little known third gang from Westside Story: The Jets, the Sharks and the Penguins
The Penguins eventually headed to Pittsburgh to play hockey. 😆
you gotta do what you gotta do!
In this case, you’ve gotta embarrass yourself in public! 😆
I excel at that!
👍
Sharks are cool! I am glad the aqua socks worked out. Enjoy your swimming!
I should be going right now, but it’s easy to wimp out when the weather is cold.🥶
It is all of 54 F here. The humidity makes it feel colder.
It was 45’ today, but I pushed myself to go. 😊
Did you work outside in the cold, or did you and Nox snuggle inside?
We worked outside once it warmed up some. It did make it all the way to 64 F. Bruce put on his new coveralls and mowed. I put on my very stylish matching coveralls and a hat and pulled poison ivy. On Monday, I pulled down poison ivy from the pecan trees and pine trees out front. Today, I bagged what I pulled up and pulled down. My coveralls are in the washer. I’ll hang them on a dryer rack I purchased.
Oh my gosh, you have soooo much poison ivy!! 😯
Yes, yes we do. There’s more to get pull up out of the ground and down from the trees. We still have it on the fences. Ugh. 😩
Is there away to keep it from coming back?
Yes, you pull it up by the roots. We’ve fought poison ivy at another house and destroyed it. It may take us a couple of years to get rid of it. We could poison it, but it would damage all the plants nearby, including trees.
Does Batman have any suggestions?
🤣
