I’m not sure what is going on in other parts of the country right now, but they keep pushing back the time the storm will get here. Saturday was supposed to be the worst day, but now snow isn’t expected to start till 3:00 am. This area has been so painfully dry for three years that it is hard to believe we will get significant snowfall.
Murphy doesn’t like going outside to potty, but he still wants to go for walks. 🙄. I would be happy to sit at home for a few days and watch TV (presuming we still have power), but I guess that’s not going to happen with this little motivator around.
Mom makes me wear two coats when I go out. ☹️

It was a little nippy at 72 today but we braved the elements. A way out here we have a name for wind and rain and fire. We call the wind Maria. 😁 Stay safe, friend.

Same! Our winter storm was supposed to start at 7:00 AM – then noon – now 1:45 AM.
Tell Murphy Romeo wears two coats, too – or his indoor fleece with a coat over it. His brother used to wear boots.

Nox doesn’t like the frozen icy grass or leaves. I took her out front since I didn’t want to try and navigate the ice rink the patio had become. She didn’t like the frozen leaves out front. To try and avoid the leaves she made it into the sidewalk. She slipped on the sidewalk and took a fall. I was trying to think of the best way to safely rescue her. I didn’t want to slip on the ice. She managed to get up and carefully walk back to the front porch. Later today, as the weather climbed above freezing, the ice on the roof melted. I planned to take her out front again, but discovered an inch and half of icy water by the side walk. I cleared off the patio with several trips of boiling water and put her on the icy frozen grass. For some reason, she didn’t like that cold frozen grass.🙄
Oh my gosh, I’m glad the two of you are OK! I hope you don’t have to melt any grass before this storm passes.

How is the new project coming along?
It was such strange and crazy weather. We got snow then sleet. The sleet froze to about a 1/4 inch of ice. It was bitterly cold at sunset. By midnight, it was in the 40s and pouring rain. Then it turned bitterly cold by morning. All that rain left frozen puddles. The back patio only had a little water on it, so when it froze, the patio didn’t need to be cleared again. When I took Nox out for her evening potty trip, it was snowing. Nox and I woke to a bitterly cold snow-dusted backyard. By Tuesday, it was safe for Bruce to come home. Fun times.

Coop wore coats, but we could tell he mostly just tolerated them. Especially the waterproof one with the faux fur lined hood. 🙂

I am surprised that even at 0’ Murphy will still walk on the road. Geordie’s paws used to hurt him at those temps, and I’d have to hold them in my bare hands to warm them up. 🥲

Yes, we got some of the storm. Mostly just very cold and rain. We didn’t get the snow they thought we would. But just north of us they got up to 8 inches.
