I was hoping that Cousin Doogie would entice Murphy to play, but Murphy seemed determined to nap his way through the weekend. Why didn’t I get any pictures of them together? This was about as close as they got the whole time. Both turned out to be shy guys who preferred to stay near familiar humans.
(The next time I or anyone in my family adopts a dog, I think I am going to insist they get a Westie. Then all I will have to draw are eyes and a nose and not fuss with all these colors!)

LOL! Kind of reminds me of my Romeo – he loved his big brother Scruff, but refuses to play or even go up to any dogs in the dog park.

Well, that is a brain tickler! Maybe Murphy is so used to or perhaps even indifferent to other dogs as he’s come from a stack’em high, stack’em wide living situation. I can’t guess why Doogie is shy. Is he still a baby or a little bit more mature?
There must not be any reasonably priced pencils anymore. I’m not sure if Prismacolors are any good, but I remember thinking they were affordable. It has always seemed to me though that buying a box of assorted colors is a waste of money and space, especially when mostly using only a few colors. Do they sell them in specific individual colors or in colors by group, such as earth tones, pastels, jewel tones, neutrals, etcetera? That may save a few pence.

Doogie is only around 8 months old. This was his first time outside of the house visiting anyone. I have a feeling Murphy wasn’t socialized a lot when he was young, so he is still getting the hang of the world.
The problem with the pencils is either paying a small fortune in gas or a small fortune in shipping. 🙄. The actual pencils aren’t that bad.
Maybe another visit will allow them to become close? The good news is no fights or other conflicts between them.
They will be getting together again in July. It would be nice if they could become friends, but I would settle for them simply ignoring each other. 😆
I hope the next visit will be peaceful or playful.
