My Cairn boys were built for winter. In fact they didn’t like any temperature above 55′. Murphy, despite his long, luxurious fur, is a summer guy. The poor little thing nearly froze to death when our temps dropped this week.
Unfortunately, the coat that fits him best is a pink hand-me-down. I keep trying to tell him it is light red, but he insists that even he is not that colorblind. Hmm, maybe Santa will have a new coat on the sleigh for Murphy…
I may be partially colorblind, but I can still smell girl dog on this coat.

Murphy looks so cute and the sweater looks warm.
Nox also loves the cold. When we lived in Colorado, she had so much fun playing in the snow. When the snow was taller than her legs, she would go snow swimming to get around in the snow. Luna hated the cold and hated the snow even more. She would stand at the French doors to the back yard watching Bruce and Nox playing in the snow.
I remember Geordie swimming in the snow! He would come out of it with soooo many snowballs stuck to his fur! 😆.
Murphy says Luna was a wise pup.
Nox would come in with sooo many snowballs stuck to her feet and fur. Trying to get those snowballs off was fun!

Murphy, Maverick says he’ll send you a bunch of fur because he has a ton. Until then, you seriously look adorable, no matter what color that coat is. Also, if you roll in mud, it will turn brown. 🙂

Geordie had a mean side arm…I mean side mouth. I’m not kidding. He was good at throwing.

Hmm, maybe I might like a blue plaid coat with fur trim? Whatever the coat, it needs to have a better belly band. Whenever I scrunch up to poo, I pop the Velcro on this one!🤣
