Come have fun with my little monsters at the Museum of the Imagination. In Dream Our World, Bitey and Toby look at the world of art from a canine perspective and enjoy commenting on all the pieces.
Dream Our World is available from Amazon – and soon from a museum!
Toby used to watch Tom Terrific.
I guess we’re lucky that I don’t have a blackboard like Simon’s Land of the Chalk Drawings.
HA! 😀 Love this!
And I love Toby’s great grasp of English! Toby IS so perfect and terrific!
HUGS!!! and PATS!!! and RUBS!!! 😛
PS…Sometimes I don’t have a very good grasp of Dog. But Cooper is patient with me and keeps trying to help me to understand! 😉 😀
You are lucky. Geordie used to bite me and body slam me when I misunderstood. He definitely didn’t believe in positive reinforcement. Good boy, Coop!
When we were teens my brother found out that my Mom didn’t know the definition for “insipid.” For months he would compliment her dinners, “Wow, Mom, that was really insipid!” When she finally caught on, it didn’t end well for him. So, beware, Toby.
It’s not my fault English is so confusing (and insipid)! – Toby
Maverick despairs of me ever learning to speak dog and he also is a fan of the body slam when I get it wrong. Toby does much better than we do
His spelling is atrocious, though.
I feel bad for you getting body slammed by a big pup. How do you keep your balance?
Who said I keep my balance? 🙂 The people at Urgent Care were definitely eyeballing my husband when I ended up with bruised ribs from the puppy. And just the other day I was sporting quite the lovely fat lip, complete with bruise. I do love him but he’s a little shit. 🙂
Ha ha! No, I’m not laughing at your misfortune. (Oh wait, yes I am. Sorry.) If he would like, I could testify on your husband’s behalf about what a pushy dog can do to a person when the authorities come for him. It might help.
Then you could get your dog some TP for Christmas since he is such a little…
I swear to you, the looks he got were almost enough to make me laugh had I not been in such pain. Then there was the day I learned to not wrap the leash around your hand, ever.
Oh dear. What happened? Did it involve another trip to the hospital?
no, it probably should have though. We were at the park, I had wrapped the leash around my hand to keep him close because there were a lot of people there that day. He pulled me really hard, down, so he could sniff something. squeezing my hand together under the leash. I screamed. As we walked on, me thinking, “well that hurt” we met a friend, I looked at my hand, and realized that my first knuckle was abut 4 times its normal size and the swelling was creeping up my wrist. It was Saturday, not really wanting to sit in the ER for hours, I went home and iced it. I had an appointment for a flu shot that Tuesday, so they called in the doctor and he pronounced it badly sprained.
And I thought pups like yours were always so gentle and well behaved. I guess not always.
Golden Retrievers are wonderful DOGS once they mature. They are, indeed, awful puppies. Many people do not realize this and hence, puppies end up in rescues. Land sharks, they are, for several months. I do not recommend them for families with small children unless the parents are experienced with dogs
Good to know!
