Once again company came to town, and once again my “faithful companion” deserted me. Both of my dogs preferred to hang around with my brother’s family, even if they were ignoring my pups in favor of their phones.
Really, I find it sweet that my dogs are so loving toward others, but boys….save the last dance for me. (Auntie and Uncle aren’t going to clean poop off your fur, after all.)

Oh, so smart, those dog-kids! They know who to play, how to play them, when the play them, ETC! Just like Human-Bean kids! HA! 😉 😀
My advice to all of them is “better know which side your bread is buttered on”… 😛
Coop is that way with my youngest young-adult-kiddo. When she’s around he worships her. When she has to leave she looks for her for days afterwards. And I dare not sayeth her name as he knows it, hears it, gets excited and runs to the front door to see if she is there. Then is upset if he can’t find her. Ha! 😉 😀

I would remind those errant pups of the words of the Gautama Buddha: “Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have.” Then I would rattle the treat jar and walk slowly away.
