OK, I’m not actually in favor of over-regulation, but doesn’t anyone in Hollywood or on Madison Avenue have dogs?!? Every time there is a “ding dong” on screen, we lose five minutes of dialog to barking. From now on can’t we agree to just have actors announce, “Knock knock!”?

You really expect me to say ‘knock knock’
every time I come to the door?

HUGSS THERE ARE FRAMES THAT WILL HOLD A BOOK ALL YOU HAVE TO DO THEN IS TURN THE PAGE ALSO I KNOW FROM MY CHALLENGED SIGHT THERE ARE FULL PAGE MAGNIFIERS. THERE HAS TO BE A WAY TO HELP YOU HUGSSSS
MY CATARACTS ARE BEING ASSESSED ON 22ND APRIL.
HUGSSSS
I have a book stand. Larger sized books work well with it, but regular sized paperbacks are a bit too small to be convenient.
Ooh, I hope for good news from the eye doctor! ❤️
I M SURE THERE IS AN EASY FIX TO MAKE IT WORK !!
THIS WILL BE AN EYE SURGEON I HAD MY 3 MONTHLY VISIT TO THE EYE DR WHO I HAVE BEEN WITH SINCE THE STROKE. HE HAS BEEN CHEKING ME ALL THE TIME AND NOW WANTS ME TO BE ASSESSED BY THE SURGEON !
That sounds promising! At least your vision should really improve once the cataracts have been removed. Do you wear glasses now? Will you be able to do without them once you’ve had the procedure?
THE BIG PROBLEM IS THE LEFT-SIDE NEGLECT THAT IS GETTING WORSE AND NO CURE ITS BRAIN DAMAGE FROM THE STROKE . I WEAR GLASSES SOME OF THE TIME BUT ITS REACHED A PONT THAT THEY DONT HELP MUCH ESPECIALLY OVER DISTANCE
THIS WILL JUST BE AN ASSESSMENT BY THE SURGEON. SHE MAY WELL DECIDE I WONT GAIN MUCH. I AM NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING REALLY
I feel bad for you! The unevenness in your vision must be painful and frustrating.
I look forward to hearing what the surgeon has to say. In the meantime, hope you are enjoying your spring and all the new flowers!
omg yes! Chester can be sound asleep and a doorbell on tv rings and he runs barking to the door! Sheesh!
Such a simple change, but it would improve our lives sooo much! 😆
Toffee is unaffected by TV sounds. Even dogs barking. I gather Murph is immune as well? H&W weren’t reactive to anything, even real-life rings and knocks. Well, Winkie was deaf… Now I always say, give me a deaf dog every time!
I never thought of the advantages of having a deaf dog! (Mute, maybe….) 😂.
Toffee, have you betrayed dogkind by not responding?
Murphy barks at doorbell sounds, but he isn’t near as crazy as my Cairn boys.
every animal on TV makes Maverick go crazy. I usually change the channel because 10 minutes of barking is about 9 minutes and 59 seconds too much
You should try wireless headphones for the TV….or maybe noise cancelling ones for Maverick! 😆
Yes! 😀 Ha! This made me laugh! 😀 And I love what Murphy has to say! 😛
Weirdly or interestingly, Coop only barked to warn us when someone rang our actual doorbell. The doorbells on TV never bothered him…somehow when he was quite young he figured out the difference. Maybe it was the direction of the sound…our TV and our front door are on opposite ends of the living room. Coop never cared much for TV…pretty much ignored it…I’m sure he thought most of what we watched was too dumb for his attention. Ha! 😀
The only thing he REALLY enjoyed on TV was music/singing. He especially paid attention (walked over in front of the TV and stood there and stared at the TV) when a man, or woman, sang with a very high voice…tenors and sopranos were Cooper’s jam! 😉 😀 We always said, “Coops likes the high-singers!” 🙂
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow. Cooper had discriminating tastes. (Did he enjoy “The Sopranos” by any chance?). I can’t argue with his opinion of TV, by the way. 😂
When Geordie was young, he would sit and watch TV. Large engine sounds – like a drama that took place on a submarine – really caught his attention. Later he enjoyed napping in the evenings more. I think that is why he reacted to the doorbell sound…he wasn’t really paying attention.
Ban car horns. Every time one starts up on the box the thugs go wild and rush down to the gate to repel boarders.
Sounds good to me! No more doorbells or car horns on TV (and minimal dog barks because that gets my crew going). 😆
