Isostatic rebound occurs when land that was compressed under massive weight gradually rises back to its original elevation.

Mommy, remember when our street used to be level?

We’ve had two pickups so far this year. Surely things are neater than they used to be…right?

Discover what Murphy’s two Cairn brothers are up to when no one is looking as you travel with them to the Museum of the Imagination in Dream Our World .
Inside the museum, Geordie and Toby view the world of art from a canine perspective while enjoying a day of unsupervised fun. There are many hidden gems inside Dream Our World, and it is a joy for all ages. Treat yourself to a read that is both fun and educational!
Dream Our World, and other fine gifts, are available from my shop at L Bowman Studios.

OUT HERE IN THE STICKS WE GET NO PICKUPS WE TAKE OUR RECYCLE TO TOWN WHEN WE SHOP AND WE HAVE TO PAY A PRIVATE TRASH SERVICE TO TAKE AWAY THE LITTLE LEFT.
HUGSSSS
☹️. I suppose that is incentive enough not to bring home anything you might not need.
Hope you are having a pretty
spring! 🌼 🌺
Wow, I can hardly “like” this when I have no idea what it even means, but it does not sound good. Finally at long last, the fallen trees from the great ice storm have finally been picked up (albeit after we paid $3500 to have them moved from our yard and driveway to the road) and then waited weeks for pick up.
And why is your street not level any more…or dare I ask?
I have been doing the One Thing Each Day challenge in an effort to declutter. When I come across items I think are good enough to donate, I call the Veterans, and they pick them up. (That is what is in the photos.)
My joke is that I’ve given/thrown away so much that the ground under the house is rebounding like it does when a glacier melts. (What can I say? I liked Geology in school. 😆)
And now I know!
like a fat man’s belly
If it had an iceberg on it – yes! 😆
I thought isostatic rebound was what happens to you when you take off your belt. That’s what Murph told me.
I gave up on belts. Now I use anti-gravity weight suspenders like Baron von Harkonnen.
Wow. They must be very powerful.
I also recently moved to the moon. That helps.
Murphy is so cute looking over the bed at you. Congratulations on your progress on decluttering. It looks like it is working!
I wish I had taken before and after pictures so I could see the progress.
Picture taking is something you normally think of after the fact. 😁
i’d comment but I’m just too tired. Murphy, can you possiblly be any cuter? I didn’t think so. 🙂 ❤
I keep tryin’! 😊 – Murphy
(Hope you get some rest and feel better soon. ❤️)
House and land arose! Ha! 😀 What’s it like to live on a hill? 😉 😛
Aw! Lookin’ good, Murphy! 🙂 Your face brings joy to my heart! 🙂 ❤️
Excellent work on the decluttering! Way to go, girl! 🙂 ❤️
There is something so satisfying, to me, to sort and divide into “Throw Away”, “Donate”, etc. 🙂 And to know that it is helping others is icing on the cake. 🙂 ❤️
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now that we live on a hill, we’re going to have trouble next time there’s an ice storm!
Aw, thank you for the encouragement. ❤️. I needed that. 😊
Yes, hill-livin’ is tough in the winter months. 🙂
You’re welcome! 🙂
