Snowman Aftermath

Ow, my back! Boys, bring me my pills!
What happened? She's too old to build a snowman. Owie owie owie owie!

Yeah, I’m too old to build a snowman.

Cairn terrier pup standing in snow.

I could have told you that.

So what are we grateful this Thanksgiving? Advil.

Bear Paw Quilt

The weather might might be mild this week, but it will soon be cold again. Protect yourself against chilly evenings and rising fuel costs with this colorful, handcrafted Bear Paw Quilt. Bear Paw Quilt is large enough for a full sized bed but could also be used on a twin or as a throw for the couch. The geometric designs and earthy colors make it a perfect gift for the man in your life.

Bear Paw Quilt and many other fine gifts are available from my shop at L Bowman Studios.

  1. Awww… aren’t you a good mom, sacrificing life and limb for Toby. I’m sure he loved the snowman.

I’m so glad my long comment was read before it was chucked! Is that how moderated comments work? I think I’ve had one or two get dumped before. It’s shocking that my nom de plume still isn’t recognized by both microsoft and safari, so my tap-tap-typing on a little screen better be perfect!
As I eluded to in the long message, I think understanding the business and really the economics of the medical industry is important, if not completely depressing as well. Ultimately being part (on earth/the USA and anywhere really) of an algorithm is just such a very cold reality. I hope you can get past these hurdles and eventually get the diagnosis and care needed. Once you get in with a good doctor who has a good support staff things should look clearer and very likely will start looking up!

Thanks for the lovely status of online friend. Your blog and photo/art images of your terriers is a pleasure to read. I have adored terriers since I got my first at age 10. As the vet says about my girl now, “she would NOT be good for a first time dog owner”. We terrier-lovers take on challenges and accept them with endless effort and constant joy.

I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

  2. You may think the aches and pains are the inevitable sign of aging. But no, today I discovered that the true sign of getting old is when you don’t recognize the balloons in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Tobester.
