In Memoriam:

Don’t make me go near that thing.

As if life weren’t busy enough, I had to get a new “toaster” this week. I brought it home to show Murphy, and he wouldn’t come within 10 yards of it. I guess I don’t have to worry about him borrowing it in the middle of the night…you know, to make toast.

Even though the school year is already underway, there is still plenty of time expand your horizons and to increase you knowledge of the art world! Dream Our World provides an opportunity to discuss both classic and modern pieces.
Inside the Museum of the Imagination, Geordie and Toby view the world of art from a canine perspective while enjoying a day of unsupervised fun. There are a lot of hidden gems inside Dream Our World, and it is a joy for all ages. Treat yourself to a read that is both fun and educational!
Dream Our World, and other fine gifts, are available from my shop at L Bowman Studios.

Nox likes toasters. They make good smells and sometimes, just once in a long while, she gets a pinch of toast. 🍞🐕🦺
Only “once in a long while”? Murphy gets bites much more often! 😆
Nox says, “Why don’t you like the toaster, Murphy? You get good treats from it!”
“Toaster” is what Toby called our old car. (Murphy doesn’t like cars. 😢)
😆
I hope the new toaster gives you many many many years of yummy eats! 🙂
I imagine it and Murphy can live peaceably in the same house. 😉
Having to replace older items that have served us well can be an adjustment.
Will you name the new toaster? I sometimes names to inanimate objects. 😮
That photo of Murphy is so sweet! 🙂 I have made that exact expression before! 😉
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well, the “toaster” will be taking me to the grocery store tomorrow, so hopefully it will bring good treats for us! 😄
As I was filling out paperwork at the dealership, I asked the finance woman if when she sold a car if she felt as if she were betraying it. I didn’t even have the words out when she blurted, “Yes!! It feels like I’m giving one of my children up for adoption!” Hence the story…🤣
Sometimes I name things too, but I don’t know if this guy has one yet or not. We’ll have to wait and see if he tells me.
We make so many memories in cars. I wish you many new good wonderful memories-made in this new one! 🙂
Thank you! ❤️
Does either your toaster or your “toaster” have a name? 😆
Our toaster is super old…Old Toasty.
Our “toaster” is a teenager…Wheels.
Maybe Murphy didn’t like it’s smell???
Maybe if he could “mark it” he’d like it???
Mark it? Oh no!
Many years ago, right after I bought the red “toaster”, we had a snow. I went out the morning after, and there was a fresh, smooth layer as far as the eye could see. From waaaay off in the distance, I could see puppy tracks. They lead from the horizon over to my brand new tire where there was a pee spot, then they went home.
Someone else had the same idea! 😂
IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME HOW THEY TAKE AN INSTANT DISLIKE TO SOMETHING BUT I GUESS WE WHOMANS DO THAT TOO !
Maybe it’s for the best that Murphy doesn’t like cars. Geordie sure did. If he ever got a chance to get behind a steering wheel, it was next to impossible to get him away from it.
Life must be a hoot around your place.
Only in my imagination! 😂
I hope there isn’t that much drama when I get a new microwave
What, you want your life to be boring? 😆
Wait, you just bought your last toaster five years ago? What happened to it? Something not too terrible, I hope. Perhaps you did give it up for adoption to a good home?
Your new toaster is probably very nice. Such an odd odor is that new toaster smell! (when I’ve been around folks with actual new toasters). Wouldn’t it be great if new toasters really did smell like fresh baguettes instead of a clash of off-gassing chemicals and plastics. And yup, with the discussion with the dealership finance lady, I’m presuming you bought new and not certified pre-owned as they call it.
So did you go television shopping? You and the boys may be on a spending roll! Wear some bling and take those boys out to Best Buy!
Anony-mouse and The Terrier
P.S. I did a blog search for car and toaster to see when the Slotgun toaster was bought and I ran across the car potty! Ha! That was a good post. Did your nephew find it to sale for big bucks or are his twins using it (presuming the twins are his kids and not some other siblings grandkids (did I get that family tree branch right?). And you are braver than I discussing topics in the wild with your neighbors! My neighbors would find the money aspect interesting (money is well liked and enjoyed), but would still toss it on the curb for trash day.
The first “toaster” was pre-owned, so it came with its own pre-problems. Winter helped to hurry those problems along. (You still get a finance lady even with a used toaster, btw. 😆)
The TV will have to limp along for a while because I also broke my glasses this month. About now, I’m ready to crawl into bed and stay there.
I’m hanging onto that car potty for myself! Since I have to force fluids, I worry about getting caught somewhere without a Room of Requirement. 😝. On the other hand, if I don’t use it the bank might now want to repo a pottied car… 🤔
Hope you and The Terrier have been enjoying a peaceful and uneventful fall! 🍂 🍁
