Do you guys have any idea what happened to my castor oil? Haven't a clue. No idea what you're talking about.

My aunt told me about this nearly a year ago, and I have been using it ever since. That is what I credit for my dandelion fluff new hair.

This secret is why my fur is always so thick and luxurious.

Does Mommy Still Love Me?

Love Train

Watch where you're going you little runt! There ain't no stoppin' the Love Train, baby!

This used to happen a lot when the boys were together. Toby would ride his peppermint backward around the room until he inevitably ran into sleeping Geordie’s face. I would say, “And a good time was had by all” but Geordie would probably bite me.

Caught in the Act

Toby was so pleased with himself chewing off the pumpkin’s stem…until when he wanted to pick it up and carry it around. Then he had no way to grasp it. Did he learn? I’m sure he didn’t.

After Toby had his fun with the pumpkin, I washed it off, cut it up into pieces and froze it for him to eat later. Now the humble decorative pumpkin can help to keep my boy regular for weeks to come.

Where, oh where

You silly,

silly puppy!

In the few seconds that I was distracted, a certain furry someone sneaked under the bed and fell asleep. As I cluelessly walked past, I found a grouchy terrier affixed to my slipper.

Since Toby has been sleeping in his kennel, we have barely had any run ins like this one, and things are much better between us. I doubt Toby realizes why, but he is a happier, less stressed out pup.

(And yes, I do need my name on the slippers so I can tell mine from Toby’s.)

Don’t make me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.

Getting an Appointment

My previously well-coiffed Toby has been looking a bit shaggy, so I decided to get in touch with his groomer. When I did, they told me that since Toby is considered a dangerous animal only the owner is willing to work with him, and she is booked until January.

Naughty List, Toby, currupt politicians, evil dictators, indoor poopers, software developers

Looks like “Santa” won’t be bringing any gifts for Toby this year. All “his” money will be tied up in tips and gifts for the groomer to try to bribe her into seeing us again.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m a perfect angel!

Boy or Girl

My pup Geordie was such a smart guy that I constantly had to come up with games and puzzles to keep him occupied. One thing he really liked was flashcards. He learned the alphabet, familiar words and he even did math. Toby turned out to be more of an active guy preferring to play chase or fetch, so we didn’t use flashcards much after Geordie left.

This weekend, the weather was too rainy to play outside, so I decided to bring out the flashcards. One game Geordie and I would play was Boy/Girl. I would ask him if someone he knew was a boy or a girl, and he would have to touch the correct card to get a treat. It turns out that Toby is really good at this game too – except that when I ask him if mommy is a boy or a girl, he insists I am a boy. Geordie did too. Both dogs are adamant that I am a boy. It makes me wonder: what do they know that I don’t (and do I need to notify the DMV)?

Duh, of course I know things you don’t!
