I was going to do another Insanity Avoidance Kitty, but something in my head whispered, “Do a squirrel”, so I drew an Insanity Avoidance Squirrel.  How is it working?  Meh.

I have to keep Toby away from both real squirrels and the picture.  He will happily chew both.

Peek-a-Boo!

 

Peek-a-boo!

Aah, this is such a rare moment – Toby looking at the camera instead of away from it.  I must have taken a dozen shots with my uncooperative little guy beating the shutter every time.   I am thinking of starting a folder with just blurry, back of head shots.

Toby got shortchanged on baby pictures since things were so chaotic when he was young.  (It is nearly impossible to take pictures when you have a puppy with a UTI.) I am trying to make up for that a little by getting some nice photos now.

Amish Shoes

I can't believe I bought these shoes! Sure they are comfortable, but the are so unattractive. They are positively Amish!

Toby says, "Don't be silly, Mommy. Amish ladies wouldn't be caught dead in those shoes.

Woman cries, "Waaahhhh!!!" Little puppy says, "Sheesh, there is simply no consoling some people!"

Yes, I really did buy the “Amish” shoes.  They are about as stylish as bowling shoes, but boy are they comfy!  My approach to fashion is to pretend it is the 90’s and that clunky unattractive shoes go with everything – including dresses.

Toby has an easy solution for any shoes he doesn’t like; he chews them up.  Sadly, that is his treatment for those that he does as well.

Westies are Besties!

Well, so say the Westies, anyhow!

Here a handsome Westie lad sits on the groomer’s table, waiting for some to notice his pretty red bow tie.  It won’t take long.  Who could resist looking at that furry face?

This little guy will be shipping to his forever home later this week, and I am going to miss him.  While I work on these pictures, I feel like I get to know the mischievous natures of the pets I am painting.  My consolation is that I can soon start another picture and get to meet another happy little fuzzball!
